The Sleeping Volcano
A personalized bedtime adventure starring your twins — and a small dragon who knows more than he's telling.
The story
It's bedtime, but the twins aren't the least bit sleepy — not with a low, mysterious rumbling rolling in from beyond the hills. Armed with flashlights, slippers, and each other, they tiptoe out on a gentle moonlit adventure to discover what's making the mountain grumble.
Along the way they tiptoe past sleepy meadows, trade whispers with night animals, and follow a trail of glittering footprints that seem awfully familiar. Is the volcano waking up… or is something much smaller (and much sneakier) behind the noise?
Written as a cozy read-aloud for ages 3–7, The Sleeping Volcano is built for the best part of bedtime: that drowsy, giggly stretch where one more page is always negotiable.
Moonlit hills, sleepy volcanoes, and two very determined twins — our illustrator is on it.
Made personal, down to the last freckle
This isn't a name stamped onto a generic page. Your twins become the characters — designed by you, drawn for them.
Their likenesses
Choose each twin's skin tone, hairstyle, hair color, and favorite colors — independently. Brothers, sisters, or one of each; identical or beautifully different. The illustrations are built as layered artwork, so what you pick is what appears on every page.
Their names in the story
Both twins' names appear throughout the text and woven into the illustrations — on bedroom doors, adventure maps, and at least one place you'll have to hunt for.
Fizz on every page
Our rainbow-winged dragon hides in every illustration. Finding him becomes the bedtime ritual — one more reason to look closely, and to read it "just one more time."
A keepsake hardcover
Each order prints as one unique premium hardcover — your family's copy, and no one else's. A book they'll keep long after they've outgrown bedtime stories.
