Twice Upon a Time started the way most parenting ideas start: at bedtime, exhausted, reading the same book for the eleventh time — and wishing, just a little, that the kids in the story looked like my kids.
I'm a mom of young kids, including twins. If you're a twin parent, you already know the particular magic and the particular chaos: two bedtimes happening at once, two little voices negotiating "one more page," two faces studying every illustration to see if the characters could possibly be them.
One night, mid-story, it hit me: there are personalized books where you can put one child's name in the story. But where was the book built for two? Where was the adventure starring both of my twins — not as a main character and a sidekick, but as equal heroes, side by side, the way they actually move through the world?
That question became the Imagination Twins series. Every book is designed from the first sketch for two children: mix-and-match likenesses so each twin sees themselves, both names woven through the story, and — because bedtime needed one more good reason to look closely — a tiny rainbow-winged dragon named Fizz hiding on every single page.
I'm building this the slow, honest way: real human illustrations (in progress now), quality printing, and a book I'd be proud to hand my own twins. No shortcuts, no gimmicks — just the book I wished existed on our bookshelf.
If you're a twin parent, a twin grandparent, or anyone shopping for twins: welcome. I made this for us.
